The Civil Engineering Society, which is among the long established
societies of Istanbul Technical

University (ITU), is organizing the annual Civil EngineeringConvention
(CivilCon) and we would like to  take this opportunity to briefly inform
you about the event.

    The Civil Engineering Society was founded in 1990 at the Civil
Engineering Faculty of the Istanbul

Technical University. Since its foundation, the society has been
providing students many opportunities

for developing their communication skills, being familiar with the
industry and socializing throughit’s

organizations,whilst constantly develloping. The Civil Engineering
Convention' is one of its most

prestigious organizations that is being held traditionally since 2006,
internationally since 2013.Since

then, it has become an event that unites civil engineers from all over
the globe.

    The Civil Engineering Society will welcome foreign students to
Istanbul on February the 6th and

shall continue until the 12th. CEO's and civil engineers who are experts
in their industries will give

seminars, which will be supportedby various workshops and competitions.
Furthermore, we will

organise city tours to discover the landmarks of Istanbul, and technical
tours to the major construction

sites of the city.

    The main goal of our our event is to unify civil engineering
students from all over the world with

turkish students to gain technical information,acquire contacts and
socialise. We believe that our event

is a valuable opportunity to gain critical knowledge of the industry, to
be able to contact veterans of

theindustry, and most importantly to learn what is required to become a
superiorcivil engineer in every

manner; and we would be honoured to see youruniversity's.
