  Applications for next year's Young Researchers' Conference are now open and we want to see your PhD students involved! 

The Young Researchers' Conference brings together young, forward thinking structural engineering PhD students
and industry professionals. A selected shortlist of students and young researchers will be invited to present on
their PhD. This is a brilliant opportunity to present their work and ideas to an audience of their peers and industry
professionals, and of course be in with a chance to win from a pot of £2000.

The Young Researchers' Conference is open to pre-doctoral researchers with less than three years' (at the time of the conference) full time, or equivalent, research experience in structural engineering. Those in their
first year of research are welcome to apply for a place but are not expected to present their work.

All presentations will be judged on the day by members of the Institution's Research Panel. The top three oral presenters may also be given the opportunity to disseminate their research at one of their local Regional Group meetings.

The conference is free to attend for students and travel grants are available.

All applicants must submit a two page project synopsis with their application form which is available from our website here ( http://www.istructe.org/events-awards/conference-and-lectures/young-researchers-conference ). A template for preparing synopses is given on the website and must be adhered to. The closing date for applications for the Young Researchers' Conference 2015 is Friday 5 December 2014.

The event will take place on 14th April 2015, with a central London location to be confirmed in the new year.
